Aye. Maybe we'll see it for the Exiles.
I can't see a reason not to sign up Finch. Age isn't a problem, here - even when practically hobbling round the pitch, a nearly-retired Deacon brought much-needed direction to the side. Finch is still relatively young, we need that kind of experience in the pivots, and we'll need continuity there when Tommy goes.

Get Jack Reed signed

| Why would Jack Reed leave a potentially NRL winning side for SL?
I don't think any of the other signings would happen being realistic. But Finchy should be signed up now.

He most probably wouldn't but we can dream....at least until he signs a 5 year deal with Brisbane.
Dureau is realistic-ish and Patrick unlikely but it's all tounge in cheek.
Like you say the main thing is to get Finch sorted out and work from there (infact Lockers is the main one but you catch my drift).

He keeps getting sunburned in Brisbane and wants to come back to a colder climate.

Not much long term planning either. If Dureau came and was successful enough to warrant staying for the long term, the reality is he'll be back off to the NRL before we know it.
As good as that partnership could be, I'd prefer to have one or the other alongside a younger brit, preferably one of our own.

| I am with the rest of you. Mr Lenagan if you are reading this, then sign Finch up sooner rather than later, and dont keep us waiting this time we dont want him to sign for anyone else.

| Finch is in great form but I'd like to see us sign someone with a top kicking game, that's something we've been missing ever since Barrett left IMO. If we can seal the deal with Dureau I would love to see him and Tomkins in the halves with Russell at full back. I think that's a much more balanced team with pace and a kicking game

| Something just doesn't strike me with confidence about dureau being at Wigan it would be absolutely typical for him to come here and not be able to cope with the pressure and be absolutely crap - he got found out quickly in the NRL.
Finchy has been brilliant for us and if we could ony have one of the two I would rather keep finch.

I agree, and hilariously when he was winning MOM last year a few games in a row, a guy sat a few seats in front of me was shouting, 'I don't know why we signed these three (finch, hoff, lima), they're no better than our kids'
Finchy has been great for us and I'd be glad to see him here another couple of years.
