Paul Cooke's key attribute is the long ball and the ability to put a wideman through the gap, other than that I'd say he offers very little. I presume Cooke's contract is pretty big considering the circumstances in which he signed for KR. For the same amount of money they could sign a much better player depensing on who's available.
When is his contract up?

Bit harsh on Cooke, this thread. He's not a great player these days but 4 or 5 years ago Cooke was one of the best players in SL IMO.

Blame the club, not the player. He was a rovers lad and had his head turned by pound signs. He was signed by their chairman to try and get one over on FC and not by Morgan.
He has suffered because of this as he doesn't fit into rovers' game plan, he was our go to player and usually delivered for us.
Not so much a wasted talent as a money chasing git.
Both Hull and Cooke have suffered since his decision to leave, that is why he will never be forgiven.
