i'm pleased for the lad, always had the passion for the game and i remember been quite excited when we signed him. pity it didn't work but its good for him and he seems settled at wire. like a previous post. all winners with the gleeson deal. haven't read the wire report, did carney play, and if so how did he get on. media seemed to think he was making his debut.

i think in the end both parties are happier.



Mathers was never going to do it for us, was stuck in a rut at wigan and needed a change. I dont think there will be many wigan fans bemoaning his change in form. Always gave 100%, just didn't and never was going to happen with us.



Plus we got Gleeson who is a class player, hasn't sparkled a huge amount yet, but he's been playing in a poor team who rarely get any ball to the right hand side of the pitch.
