Because he's not a niggly dirty player at all, its just that he is a saints legend so therefore doesnt actually mean to crack anyone around the head area. Its the other players who somehow seem to have the knack of ducking into it at every occasion.
Really he should be applauded for his tackle technic, even when it is late |

St Helens will be without England forward James Graham for Friday’s match
Saints say the reigning Man of Steel has failed to recover from the tackle by Leeds Rhinos forward Jamie Jones-Buchanan during a fiery clash at Headingley last Friday.
A Saints spokesman said: “He has damaged his rotator cuff tendon in his left shoulder, which is causing more instability in the joint. This is a direct result of the chicken-wing tackle.”
