France ran out of steam on a grand style which is understandable with all the injury and ilness problems. The Kiwi's had alot more of a struggle overall against a similar standard French side then England did in the mid season test. We have huge hope imo if we turn up from the first whistle and play without fear.
The team selection has to be spot on aswell for the first time in Tony Smiths England career and after watching the Oz game on the internet just now for the first time i'd go-

He must not play at all, and put Lee Smith on the wing, he was fine our there. Eastmond at 7 with Myler on the bench for me. |

His confidence looked shot to pieces near the end yesterday and he simply doesn't deserve a place.
Tomkins and Eastmond to start with Myler on the bench is the way to go. Give these superb young lads a chance in the biggest game of their careers.

How anyone could pick McGuire after that performance, and considering the performance of the Eastmond/Tomkins combination in the last 15 minutes, I will never know. |

It was actually superb, I would love to have Eastmond at Wigan and I am sure saints fans would love Tomkins at Saints. Even Saddened started a thread on how awesome Tomkins played. |

We have Sam tied down to a long term deal and Saints don't have Eastmond signed up and he has an agent that will convince him to sign for the highest bidder...............i hope thats us.
If it is then our halfback pairing(and hooker with Tommy moving there) is sorted for the next 10 years. |
