Are you picking him on the basis that things can only get better?



After watching the replay i actually thought he played worse then i'd realised at the ground which i thought would be impossible.

He must not play at all, and put Lee Smith on the wing, he was fine our there. Eastmond at 7 with Myler on the bench for me.

His confidence looked shot to pieces near the end yesterday and he simply doesn't deserve a place.



Tomkins and Eastmond to start with Myler on the bench is the way to go. Give these superb young lads a chance in the biggest game of their careers.

He had a crack and things didn't come off for him. At least he wasn't anonymous like the guy I did drop (Roby)

How anyone could pick McGuire after that performance, and considering the performance of the Eastmond/Tomkins combination in the last 15 minutes, I will never know.

Is there any chance of watching the game again online?

It was actually superb, I would love to have Eastmond at Wigan and I am sure saints fans would love Tomkins at Saints. Even Saddened started a thread on how awesome Tomkins played.

BBC IPlayer has it on for a week.

We have Sam tied down to a long term deal and Saints don't have Eastmond signed up and he has an agent that will convince him to sign for the highest bidder...............i hope thats us.



If it is then our halfback pairing(and hooker with Tommy moving there) is sorted for the next 10 years.

I have both the England V Australia and France V N.Z. on V+ can alway put them on DVD for you and post them to you if you cannot find them on line.

Smith was pi55 poor as was McGuire.



Burgess, Tomkins, Eastmond, Ellis, Crabtree and Graham all did well the rest did ok/average.

Why??....Seriously, player for player, we just can't hack it at international level, its proven year after year.



Yes, occasionally, we can up our performance and grab the odd win, but when the Aussies (and Kiwis) are at their best, we can't live with them, whatever side and whatever coach we have in place.



I hate to say it, but the only chance we have to improve our national side, is to have a good dozen or so of our younger players to get signed up with Aussie sides in oreder to improve the intensity of their games...Super League is not the correct breeding ground for international rugby, the NRL is. Look at how Morley's game improved, as has Ellis's, plus, as a psychological bonus it earns you the respect of the Aussies, whilst eliminating the obvious fear factor the English players presently have when playing international rugby.
