The top 5 defences in the league belong to Wire, Us, Saints, Hull and Huddersfield. Points scored against those sides is as follows:

Hudds - Wire 56 (av 18.6) wigan 66 (av 33)

Hull - Wire 10 (av 10) wigan 44 (av 22)

Wigan - Wire 48 (av 24)

Wire - Wigan 50 (av 25)



So, as you can see. You have only managed to score (or average) more points against St Helens. We have outscored you by 10 points against Hudds despite playing 1 game less than you and having a weak team without our top scorers Sam and Richards in one of those.



So, as inside man said, you're attack is much better against Harlequins.

Funny you should mention us playing Hudds more then you but not two extra games against Saints and the one against Hull on your list.

Could be because he specifically refers to outscoring you against them despite us playing less games.



In both cases re Saints and Hull, we outscored you after playing more games, which is what you'd expect really.

Doesn't mention us having this higher "average" against Saint despite playing half as many games.



Wigan fans will say their attack is better and Wire fans will say theirs is better and you could be here all day, personally am looking forward to having another go at you with Briers in the side and hopefully couple more bodies back should we meet in Sept/Oct.

I'd argue that it's essential you beat us when we next play - from a Wire perspective.



Wigan will be in the post-Wembley daze, whether they've won or lost.



If Wire fail to put Wigan away that day, especially with so much riding on it - i.e. top spot - then there will be questions asked about your team's abilty to handle tough opposition. Running in massive scores against the minnows will count for nothing.

You might hold onto that in hope.
