| I went last night. Good fun if a bit one-sided. NSW's defence out wide was as clueless as England's generally is. Standing back and watching playmakers of the calibre of Lockyer/Thurston set up plays for some of the best runners the game has ever seen is a recipe for disaster.
I seriously haven't seen en masse bad defending throughout an Origin game before.
NSW do have options. They need to get Idris and Jennings into the centres. Both carry far more threat than the current batch. They also need to pick a winger on the right. And Barrett has to go. He didn't play badly but he's retiring at the end of this year and there's really no point picking him again. I'd go for Campese myself. I'd also bring in Farah for Ennis, who's been really disappointing.
Anyway, NSW need to start blooding some of these younger guys and give them a clear mandate that they'll stay in the team for next year regardless of the result. Whilst the racism row undoubtedly didn't help, I think that NSW's team spirit gets eroded by constantly changing players between games. I'm advocating changes but picking younger players who the selectors need to stick by barring injury.

You want to be careful. With logic like that they'll use you to replace the blazer brigade dinosaurs at the NSWRL
The Maroons have been building more stable partnerships across the park for years.
Plus the entire organisation doesn't get continually 2nd guessed & criticized by "I have all the answers" media.

Sorry but people are free to discuss whatever they like without running it past you first. If you feel it would be too hypocritical for you don't get involved.

It was the "sore" part that lost me. I know what irony is, thanks, just as I know what supercilious is.

| O'Donnel wasn't charged for his head butt but was charged for a 'grade 2' spear tackle.
Could get between 3 and 4 games dependent upon his plea. One VERY lucky boy imo.

I remember jumping out of my chair shouting " oh " how the lad didn't break his neck ill never know. You gotta love origin !!!
