I think we keep losing against Warrington in the forwards. They have more firepower up front and have a biggger, stronger pack. In the last game our pack looked beaten as soon as they stepped onto the field. Until that changes you arent going to beat any RL team.

Smaller clubs always raise their game against Wigan, pretty simple really...

If you are concerned about the Warrington pack, then surely the same concern should be given to Catalans? Arguably, the biggest pack in SL. Their only undoing being their discipline.

This is certainly true....

They've only won once the game after beating Wigan in the last couple of years. Shows how much we take out of them.

Getting it up for Warrington, have you seen the birds from there even viagra wont work with them!

Said before, to beat wire we should go with a massive pack from the start with mobility on the bench.



If we picked a pack of say; Dudson Mcllorum Mossop Hock Leuaki O'Loughlin to start; with Flower, Fielden, Hansen, Farrell on the bench, we'd knacker their old guard before half time, and could stick hansen and farrell on to run riot against their tired older pack.



Problem is we start too lightweight........start with a monster pack.........lay into them for 30 minutes with that so their shot before half time....and then stick our mobile forward on, we'd run rings round em IMO.

I'd have to start with Lima and Mossop this week with Fielden and Dudson on the bench. Hansen has to start with Hock and Lockers. I'd even consider Lauaki on the bench and run him in the 2nd row. If it works against Catalan, itll stand us in good stead if we play wire. MM will get banned so Tommy will have to start at 9 with Smith at 7. I fancy a good win this week and see what we do with our first club call?

I think something you're not looking in to is Wigans structured game plan v Wire's 50% structure 50% off the cuff.



You can coach for what you expect to come, Warrington are good enough to defend against Wigan unlike the majority of the others.

With us as well we have more options on the 5th, and more attacking options.



Kicking in play, Briers, Hodgson, Bridge, Ratchford, Myler, O'Brien, M.Monaghan all having an either very good kicking game or sufficient.



Wigan success comes from not making errors, Wire's comes from being unpredictable.

Simply not good enough. Apart from the pack being dominated (for you stats men check out the yards made by our props/embarrassing), 'the move' is always well understood, basically left Sam with no structured attack (only attack he has is off his own back).



Tony Smith has our number. We have the ability to beat all the other teams but not Wire, considering this I still think on their day Leeds will beat us. The rest of the league, including Saints are exactly worth writing home about.

With that our kicking game, minus Smith is terrible. Means so much in a big game.

Wigan’s style of play has become very predictable, the whole of SL knows it but luckily for us not all can do much about it, but unfortunately wire have the troops and Smithy the nouse to pull it off. It’s now up to SW to come up with a suitable blueprint for them, and quick!
