Let's go back to the days of Eddie Hemmings and the up n under fun days .

Maybe his old pal could do it when he's free from his other commitments .

He knows the game, he's well known ,

I can see some saying no we must progress and not look back but I say to you are we any further on now broadcasting wise than the BBCs 70s and the floodlights.

The sky commentary team is Eddie Waring esque boring predictable and unbearable to listen to. Please Sky get rid of these clowns. For people who think it cannot be done better take a listen to Ray Warren and the Aussie commentators. My interest in rugby league has waned as I cannot abide to hear the same drivel week in and week out.

Stevo sed he's retiring in 3 years anyway!

It's the arrogance that irritates me - at one point last night, Bentham gave a decision and Eddie, with that supercilious tone he often adopts, said, "Well gentlemen, was he right?" Turns out he was.



For me, that forensic examination of every decision, starting from a default position that the official is wrong, is the fans job, not the commentators; it's confusing for people who don't know the game and puts a negative spin on many of the finest moments of the match.



As for Stevo and his constant repetition of the same stock phrases - it's no longer funny; they've had their day.

What about Stevo saying flies round a honey pot, wrong stevo, its bees round a honey pot

Your taking the term Honey Pot too literal.

I like them. I think Eddie could do with not filling every second but I enjoy Stevo's enthusiasm.
