I hope he’s wrong. An apparent ‘lucrative’ 2 year deal for a guy who’ll be 34 by the start of the season and has been well past his best for a while seems like a strange use of budget given he also comes with more baggage than British Airways. Not for me this one.

Quality player even past his best.



Frankly I don’t think any signing that wasn’t from the Aussie test team would please this forum.



Got the same old guff with Westerman.

Never liked Proctor which must be a good thing because he was playing against my team.... 280 NRL games Kiwi international and in the same age group as Fifita and Arona... we will need some top guidance for the young guns



however... Westerman? never liked him even as a Trinity player ... was glad he left.

I didn’t until he played for us. TBF I didn’t rate him as highly as some did but was pleasantly surprised. What I do know is he was a good clubman and popular with his teammates. You never can tell.

Going by Twitter rumours this week we could have a pack consisting of Proctor, Lawrence, Taylor and Mago.. plenty of experience and leaders there…

One too many forwards IMO. Remember we have already signed both Bowden and Butler who were basically signed for this season, especially Bowden.

I'd say either not both with Taylor and Proctor.

He's clearly talented but what I think we need from him is his captaincy.

Seems to me that Proctor is a step in the right direction for quality and to bring the young forwards on.

OK, so he's no spring chicken but neither is Chris Hill who's currently playing for England!

It's a very simple equation for me.



So long as he has no long term or chronic injuries, age means nothing. Sure he'll be a bit slower but then SL is a bit slower we are all told.



If he comes with the right attitude, he's pure class and will help transform our pack. It's up to Mash if he thinks he can get the best from him, it's what we pay him for.

Proctor has been a sensational player, 280 NRL appearances and 22 for the kiwis up until a couple of years ago. He’s played at a level that no one has played at for the club in the last 30 years. Even if he plays at 75% of his capability he’ll be class and also great for the young forwards coming through. Really need leadership this year
