For those who don't Tweet, I can confirm that both myself and the Armadillo - Jonathan Stone - have now been invited to join the Trust headed by Sir Rodney Walker, through which NM is being pursued.



This has been a long time coming and we hope it will give us the platform to push the Stadium issue further, particularly with the Newcold development imminent and rumours of further developments at NM being circulated.



It may not be much, but we think the news is a positive step forward and both Jonathan and I are both honoured to be asked to join and aware that more work is expected from us going forward.

Good news will make it easier to keep us updated. Got a good feeling that positive progress is being made regarding Newmarket.

What are the projected time scales with development (assuming things run to plan), especially with our close neighbours getting very excited about their own new project, which is hot news on t'other side of t'common.

No offence but to me this looks like official acknowledgement that nothing's going to happen here.



In my opinion if something was going to happen they would not let you two anywhere near it.



In my experience they only start letting people in when it's about to finish.



Fully expect you to be updating the forum on new other 'exciting' stadium options in the coming months.



It's just my opinion and no offence intended to the individuals who have and continue to work very hard for the greater good.

There is, was and always will be a plan B, but I can tell you that there is some strength of weight behind the desire to drive NM forward as our preferred option. If we fail, we fail, but it won't be for lack of trying.



Since we began 10 years ago we've gone from nothing to a site with PP, on a low rental lease (effectively ours) and a bucket load of cash. We did that - you, me, the club, Sir Rodney etc... - so we are refusing to accept no as the answer!



We'll see!

Does Sir Rodney know how much you two can drone on and on and on. Think he needs to allow a couple of extra hours for each Trust meeting.
