| So the current league table has
6th Hull FC 26 points
7th Huddersfield 24 points
8th Hull KR 21 points
9th Bradford 19 points
10th Wakey 18 points
11th Salford 17 points
Nobody below that can make the playoffs
Hull FC remaining fixtures - Catalans (H), Widnes (A), Bradford (A), Cas (H) - 3 or 4 wins - 32 points
Hudds remaining fixtures - Salford (A), Bradford (H), Warrington (A), Leeds (H) - 1 or 2 wins max - 26 points
Hull KR remaining fixtures - Bradford (A), Wakey (H), Wigan (H), London (A) - anything from 1 to 3 wins - 25 points
Bradford remaining fixtures - Hull KR (H), Huddersfield (A), Hull (H), Catalans (A) - 1 or 2 wins - 23 points
Salford remaining fixtures - Huddersfield (H), Wigan (A), Leeds (A), Wakey (H) - 1 win - 19 points
Wakey - Saints (H), Hull KR (A), Widnes (H), Salford (A) - if we can play as we have been doing for past few weeks we could win 3 of these games in my opinion - 24 points
I think we will just miss out but with lots of the teams in the mix playing each other anything is possible.
Huddersfield v Bradford and Bradford v Hull KR will have a massive impact on who finishes in the 8.
We probably need Bradford to beat Hull KR, then Hudds to beat Bradford while we beat Hull KR and that might just see us sneak 8th spot

| Theres a slight chance but we are too dependant on other results to go our way.
Its nice with 4 games to go to be even discussing this though.
3 wins from 4 is realistic so who knows?

| If Trinity carry on playing the way they are then there is a slim chance. If they play as they mid season there is no chance. Its pleasing to see the squad finishing well and a win on Sunday would set the HKR match up superbly.

| Can't see us getting a result against Saints ,they have been playing exceptionally well, but the other three are winnable. We'll need a lot of luck with other results but Bradford & Hull KR playing each other next week and with a trip to France for the Bulls and Wigan to play for KR its not out of the realms of possiblity that we could sneak in. Unlikely but you never know!
I said at the start of the season that 9 or 10th place with 10-12 win and being in with a shout of the play offs upto the end of the season would satify me that this year had been a success. We are on the verge of that scenario so hats off if we achieve it. We then need two or three shrewd signings, mainly in the pack with a couple probably leaving, and we can push on for a top eight spot next year.

| Hull Kr are the ones that we can catch. There game with bradford next week is crucial. Then they have us the week after thats the big game. What a story if we get in the 8 it would be a miracle. We are the in form side though so anything can happen. We have Widnes still to play that should be 2 points and how we are playing we should beat Salford. My reckoning Salford will have nothing to play for when we play them. a WIN AGAINST STS will be a bonus but I think we can win KR, Widnes and Salford.
I THINK WE CAN DO IT !

| need to win every game from here on in and other results to go our way, tough ask and not impossible but unlikely, lets just enjoy the rugby we are getting dished up at the moment and let the league sort itself out, next year is going to be very interesting

I think I was with you on that then and I still am; I don't expect to make the 8, I won't be disappointed if we don't, but I'll be absolutely over the moon for everyone involved if we do.
The fact that we're even having this conversation is a huge bonus.

| not sure it's much of an actual reward, i.e. an away fixture against wigan or warrington, but from a morale boost perspective it would be huge.
it'd be nice, but it still seems a long way off.

| I think the lack of expectation on us to reach the play offs has helped us over the last few games - I think this has given the players to the licence to play with a bit of flair and freedom that we didn't see too much of in the first half of the season. I don't think Agar should even mention it, let the boys play like they have recently with no pressure - and if we pick another 3 wins up and things go our way then that's a cracking result.

| We are only playing for 8th spot, however it would be one hell of an achievement to finish 8th.
The next game is the crucial one and on paper, by far the most testing of our remaining fixtures.
Ther is no doubt that we are gathering some momentum so who knows.
At the moment its nice just to enjoy the ride especially beating Leeds, Shudds and Cas in the last 3.
This is as good as it gets and I cant wait for Sunday.
Come on Trin !

Forgive me as I may be confused with he play off structure, but IF Trinity were to scrape into the play offs, they would likely to be playing Leeds, Catalans or Hull FC rather than Wigan or Warrington.
1 v 4
2 v 3
5 v 8
6 v 7
