well done catalan in proving you can get into the top 8 and still get to wembley without any distraction, lets hope as a club we can learn from that and maybe just maybe you take pride in next years cup run

True, but we do not play with that physicallity, you have to be very fit with ball & in your line D. Be honest, we are a big pack but do not worry other side in terms of a mean set of forwards. We must also do something about one of our two hookers, one has quick ruck speed & causes damage, the other one is not bad but not quick enough to worry the defenders.

I am no fan of Catalan, but at present they run the hardest & have the highest

Physicality in the top eight, think they have too much to do to make the top four

But may well be 5th if they continue to play as they are at present.

However I still say up the trin

If we spent the money they do on their squad we maybe able to do similar but as it is we don’t and top 8 has to be priority

Saints spend more than us but they didn't match that fitness & hard running etc

A new coach and a good half back have sorted Catalan out , from been a mediocre side into challenge cup finalists , and I wouldn’t bet against them winning . They run harder and tackle harder than teams around them it’s not rocket science .

To play like that you must be extremely fit & well coached

Who said it did? Look at the post I responded to. The point i was making was for a club like wakey, the priority will always be making the top 8 whilst we cannot spend the full cap, Catalan do spend the cap and are now playing to their potential so were able to put A performance on to bully a saints team with a small pack

Sorry but the team they had were massively under performing and now they are not, it’s no coincidence their form has improved. Yes drinkwater and McNamara have had something to do with the improvement in form but the pack that is dominating teams was already in place just were not doing what they are now.



They were playing mediocre but were not a mediocre squad.



We on the other hand are punching above our weight and for the immediate future finishing anywhere above 9th with the money we have to spend on the squad should be seen as a huge achievement

we gave up on the cup this year make no mistake about it...

The Catalans attitude was there for all to see. Not about money surely, as Saints spend well too.

It was that Catalans were in the Saints faces from the start - something we should learn. Very simple rugby league- speed at meeting the opposition and at the ruck and Saints had absolutely no answer, and their 'stars' were very ordinary!

Well done Catalans I hope you lift the trophy!
