Morton needs a rest and shouldn't be utilised as a viable substitute. Either the lad starts or he isn't in the 17. Shuffling players around mid game to justify the spot on the bench doesn't help the individuals involved and the team.



Cooke should not play until he is fully fit and plays with pride and desire. He certainly isn't cut out for a spot in the halves and it's debateable whether he's cut out to wear a SL club shirt at all! Playing him isn't doing himself or the club any favours at the minute.



Demetriou in my opinion would benefit from less game time. At the start of the season i voiced my opinion that whilst the hunger, desire and will is there, the body might not be. JD is still a fine player but he can't cut 70+ minutes a game. Kear needs to use him intelligently.

Can't really argue much with TTD team above.



The Morton comment above applies to a lot of the posts flying around about letting the kids have a go. It's easy to say but very often all you will do is throw a kid into a broken team and they will not be able to perform well either and will then be criticised and confidence shot.

Bring the kids in if they are good enough but not just becuase you don't like the way the first team are playing.



As for Cooke. I've seen some magic touches from him but ultimately, he is not an organising scrum half. He should be second receiver if not third so that he can get the ball out to the runners out wide. I think his effort is in question but I saw him get stuck i a few times on Friday in defense and attack. BJ being back this week drops him out of the half roles. I'm just not sure whether he deserves a place in the pack.

I cant see Cooke not playing unless he's injured

You're right, Kear will find a space for him as he always does. At times i do wonder whether he is capable of making big decisions. He threatens that established first team players will be dropped and ultimately then sacrifices a youngster

I'm not too fussed whether Cooke plays or not.

Morton is not ready to fill a place in a side so low on confidence. To be fair he's no worse than Ade Gardner but he's not got the rest of the Saints side around him.

I would be most pee'd off to see Gleeson ever wear a Wakey shirt again. A few of us having been pointing out his limitations for a couple of seasons now. He will be the downfall of JK.

Cooke in the pack for me and should never go near the halves again. It doesn't do him or the team any favours. Gleeson's got to get the chop for sunday he's had enough chances. And his face goes really red all the time.

Also think cooke will play. Kear seems to have this perserverance with players. You only have to think back to last year with Scott Grix. He played him on the wing for ages and his form was pretty awful for quite a long time. Then when he started having blinders we all then found out he was on his way. Would be interested to know how much contract time some of these players have. We cleared a lot out last year but could be even more this year.

We could do with morrison back asap...when is he due back?
