Can't help but think that the financial state of clubs in professional rugby league is a total joke.
The respective owners should have their heads banged together.
It's all about survival of this fittest and without a BIG sugar daddy willing to put substantial sums of his own money in then the smaller clubs such as ours have no chance. I don't mean loan the money I really mean give it. Even with a full Newmarket, whenever that happens we will find it hard to compete with the likes of Wigan and Leeds.
I am a little tired of the situation at Wakefield and I honestly think if the club do go into administration again, then I'm done with it.

We need everyone to get behind the club and turn Belle Vue into a capacity crowd next Friday and let the team hear how much this club means to the fans. Rumour such as this does not help. This is a great club and we have a good competitive team with the limited finances we have pushing the Super League champions all the way last night but also in the play offs last year.
Together we are stronger.... |

My rational is that on balance the club will continue and reason for this is
that if it went down after glovers statement he would have been getting money under false pretence trading while insolvent so both him and Elson would go down.
therefore with his other business commitments it would be catastrophic for the club to cease trading after just coming out and saying everything is ok

I think it will too. The club has a determined owner who's business acumen must be stretched to the limit - hence my rant previously about the state of RL finances. I bet it's ten times harder running the club than WY Windows! |

Not quite what I said, but I did advise that a new co had been established, quoting info that is in the public domain. I'd be surprised if the RFL allowed things to go that route, or at least allow the same people to run the club following the long list of CCJ's that have arisen.
Since I posted that information, not one but two Winding Up Petitions have been submitted suggesting to me that those in charge new what was coming....... |

IF the fact that we are not in administration is all that keeps you coming, you might as well just go now.
When I started watching we had 3k crowds, just been bent over by Pearson and getting hammered every week - anything on top of that is a bonus for me - i'm loving the 8k crowds, challenging for playoffs and new stadium on the horizon. |

If people believe those rumour then why are you still spending money on club? Thats right because you care - just do your bit spending in the club shops and renewing season tickets and its all we can do. If we stop spreading the rumours it might make it abit easier to retain players etc.
