| Quote Theboyem="Theboyem"Thats not the local council though, it's the general election vote. I think the labour council vote is much more one sided although i could be wrong.
The problem is most of the voters in Wakefield couldn't give a stuff about Trinity and whether we get a stadium or or not. They are bothered about pot holes, child care, schools etc first and probably rightly so as it's that which concerns them. And others would never vote tory because of what they did to the mining industry (and are continuing to do). In fact some of Trinity's own fans don't like where the new stadium should be anyway which doesn't help either! Can't see anything other than the same again, especially after 5 years of a tory government and it's cuts and back door privatisation.'"
If the public of Wakefield want to vote labour in the national elections so be it. However its the local elections where we have a problem.
You say the public are not bothered about Trinity and are more concerned about schools child care etc. Well from what I can see the local councillors have also been crap in that area as well. Box and his predecessors have had total unopposed power over our City for the last 41 years and
I think Wakefield has gradually gone slowly down hill for every year of their tenure.
Not only are they treating our club with total disregard, if you open your eyes and look around the state of or City and the way its going then that alone should tell everyone its time for a change.

Oh Yes He Does !!!!!
He is an elected councillor for the Altofts and Whitwood Ward.
There are 3 councillors for every ward and they are elected in rotation.
Box comes around for his term in May 2016.

If we go to court and win it would make no difference whether Box was in power or not, he couldn't do anything about it.

Don't under estimate Box. Even if we win the council will still be heavily involved in the project through Highways, Planning, Safety etc.
The man will make life as difficult as possible.
Every councill officer is scared of him and every elected labour councillor dare not stand up to him. He is in total control.

Quite frankly I'd rather Trinity die (and myself for that matter) than ever vote Tory and if you think they will help us you are deluded. There must be another more palatable way to oust him

| What we 100% know is that a Labour controled council will never ever ever ever deliver the stadium. That is the only fact, Box will not deliver it. So do not vote Labour, vote anyone else, or if you can`t face, for what ever reason, voting for any other party, then for the good of Trinity, for the love of Trinity .... don`t vote or deface your ballot paper. Then make yourself feel better , if required , vote Labour in the General election. As I say I am not making a political point. The only fact is that a Wakefield council contolled by the local labour party lead by Box will not deliver the stadium..... and thats a fact

I think that saying any other party WILL deliver the new ground is a quantum leap.
All we do know is that the current range of local government officers have not helped delivery of the new ground.
Of course, ALL opposition MP's and councillors sound helpful but, they all want their time in power and as everyone knows, politicians of all colours
are not known for keeping pre election promises.
BUT from what we heard last night, our local council, at present, want nothing to do with the community stadium at Newmarket, and said as much
to Sandal, when he questioned Mr Box on Radio Leeds.
Finally, no politician wants to lose their seat and this means that the next few weeks give people a window to exert maximum pressure on their
local representatives.
