The talk of dropping Johnstone is pure ridiculous. The pass was on to BJB and if BJB took the ball rather than looking to see who was coming at him, he would've been down the pitch.

No because of his overall peformences in pre season including his oppisate winger scoring 4.hes only a kid and needs to be looked after confidence wise.

Johnson only a kid ? isn`t he 20 / 21. His defence is dire , he is same age as Manfredi , Burgess. For me we should be looking to loan him out to a lower division side with a coach who can work with him as we cannot afford his mistakes.. The concern is that the obvious flaws in his game were evident when he was in our age group teams, so either the coaches were not good enough to improve him to correct standard or he does not have the ability. The obvious natural speed and ability he has in attack and his work ethic must mean we should work with him. As I say send him out to John Kear or another top coach for the season and see what we get back.

I guess it depends on what you count as "recent". If you look at the last 5 years including league and cup, then I have it 10-6 in our favour. But then I guess if you define that as astonishing then again fair enough. I guess you could go beyond 5 years, however, since Powell took over 6-2 Cas I think.

By my reckoning out of the last 9 at Wheldon Road it's 7-2 to us. It's almost like a home game, with the same probably true for Cas at Belle Vue.

Really hoping that Hampshire does not play against us, bad enough worrying about Gale, Roberts and Dorn creating opportunities for their wingers but adding Hampshire in to mix would give any defence sleepless nights. Think most Cas plays involve Gale, not sure how to go about it but would like to think that we can give him less time than we gave Brown.

Tom Johnstone is 20 who's been in SL since half way through last year.

Joe Burgess is 21, who's been in SL since 2013.

Dom Manfredi is 22 who's been in SL since 2013

And you can't really compare someone who comes through the Wakefield structure to the structure that Wigan have.

TJ will develop as the season goes and and the confidence builds. Like he did last year.
