To be an A N Other I think you had to be either an amateur or from Union but not totally sure.



David Jones from Wigan St Pats might have been?



The practice was disappearing by the late 1980’s due to player contacts coming in but was rife before that.

Looks like Schofield went to Dewsbury from our academy in 2020 so a couple of years later Mash may want to look at him. Doesn’t hurt to have a look.

I seem to recall one game; many moons ago; when we had 2, A N Other and S O Else.

Another nom d plume was “A Walker” turned out to be Olympic sprinter Berwyn Jones

Says on Wiki he was at Hunslet two seasons before joining us, how much you want to trust Wiki is up to you. But if he was registered to Hunslet then as far as I'm aware he couldn't play as an A N Other.
