Washbrook is not a half back, why play him there??



Vasty's team has a good look to it IMO and at least it would have some players in it with a bit of pride and passion in the shirt.

It won't happen anytime soon but I think it should.





I just hope someone walks into the dressing room and tells them exactly what it would mean to the fans to win this game. Is John Kear commentating this weekend, do you think we could borrow him just to do the team talks???

If we've not got the go forward for the full 80 then what about the thought of having 4 forwards on the bench instead of Wood taking a spot? Mellars could cover second row/centre. Could use Washbrook at hooker if Aiton gets injured or needs resting during match? Washbrook covered hooker at Hull I think a number of years ago.

I'd go with that with one exception, Swap Mariano and Southern based on a match fitness perspective. Southern is not up to speed at the minute. No need to have Mellars as cover when Kirmond can do it if needed.

Mellars and Southern should nowhere be near the 17 in my view. Both have not been good enough this year. I'd rather give Slater or Annakin a shot but no Agar favours lackluster overseas players, some who can't even manage 1 half!

Agreed but he can’t be any worse than John! Just looking at the 19 available that’s the way I would alternate rather the same old underperforming rubbish we’ve accustomed to. If we go outside of the 19,I would be more inclined to agree with Vastmans selections.



For a local derby I don’t think I’ve seen so little interest. The small number of posts on here and the Cas forum is an indicator to that. For me a sign of how much both teams have done nothing but disappoint fans this year.
