What I said a few weeks ago
Quote The Clan="The Clan"Wouldn't touch him for a few reasons the main one being this is Wildies time to come through and signing a player with a stinking attitude, no respect for supporters and who's not committed to the game let alone Wakefeld Trinity is a bad message to send.'"
I've mellowed on him a bit since then and despite Matty Wildie offering even more promise for the future due to his recent performances I could see a few reasons why Eastmond could be good for the club.
He's obviously not wanted at Sts and that's got to be unsettling, players need to feel appreciated if not they don't settle and too much water has gone under the bridge at Sts for him to make a return to 1st team football.
I would imagine he's professional enough to put the effort in if only to maintain his own personal pride and reputation. If he comes wanting to enjoy his football, gain back some credit, feel the emotion of the Trinity roller coaster free from the burden he created for himself at Sts then he would be very good for us.
if he comes here and JK gives him some short term goals, like get us to the play offs, spend some time on the training field with Wildie, Hyde & Moore then I can see where he would benefit us.
Off the field it sends a message to anyone interested that we aren't a dead man walking and have the clout to make a big noise in the future, then there's the media interest and the commercial opportunities.
With reservations I would be OK with Eastmond if all of the above were to Be the case.
