Can't do that, tenants have rights in Law and the Landlord can only charge a market rent. I understand we are paying £100,000 a year, its whether we could afford that and maintain Belle Vue on the vastly reduced gates we will get in the Championship. Dewsbury may be considerably cheaper.

But they can put it up a 'reasonable' amount which would more than likely put it out of a championship sides reach. Dewsbury would probably be half the cost.

Yes its not only the rent, Belle Vue needs constant upkeep on an almost weekly basis. I would imagine Dewsbury would be a far more cost effective option for championship rugby.

If Glover has any sense (and he does), he'll be trying to buy the ground back at today's prices and convert it into housing at tomorrow's. As you say, he won't be investing in it by way of building amenities if he's planning on upping sticks to Dewsbury next season.
