13 is an easy spot to cover with an additional backrower or Paul Aiton, even Paul Sykes could play there.

I'd agree with Paul Aiton at loose forward should Washbrook get injured but not Paul Sykes who I believe has never played the position or played in the pack. Loose forwards normally are your top tacklers/runners, have some pace & have handling ability.



I'd be more likley to give Lucas Walshaw a run at that position if Washbrook/Aiton were unavailable. Hes got the size, speed & ability for tackling.

Still think Sykes could also play there as his game is similar to that described by Asmadasa, although he probably misses a few tackles too many. Let's face it, he's not really a stand-off either.

Another forward and utility back will see us right. Good continuity is what all the top teams have and it's good to see wakey have some. Plenty of people playing for new contracts should see them busting a gut next season

My only worry is 'what if' Tim smith gets an injury. Do you think we maybe rely too much on him? Do we have a plan B?
