Not sure on that TBH Tricky.
Going back to revenue streams briefly, I was in a discussion the other week on a forum page on FB, comparing revenues in SL to NRL. Away from the sponsorship and advertising deals that are bigger than ours, they make a lot of money from casinos and gaming etc.
I spoke to a mate of mine who has strong links with Penrith, and their memberships clubs has about 1000 slots. That is food for thought as to how much that brings in.
Not sure but wasnt the Wakefield Theatre Club initially intended for something similar.I was a 70s child so not old enough to elaborate there on the history of it.
Maybe something central to the city would have worked better

Prior to it becoming the Wakefield Theatre Club it was the Wakefield Trinity Social Club. I was only young myself so you can see know long ago it was bu I recall that it was supposed to be like the Aussie League Clubs with slots and gambling but I think it was prevented by the gaming laws at the time. It failed and was sold and became the Theatre Club. |

Dont know how long the post has been on the WT website but, it makes for a depressing read.
We appear as far away as ever, from having a new ground and you have to feel for MC and CB (plus the other members of the Community Trust), who, yet again are being shafted by WMDC and Yorkcourt.
It's just beyond me that SRW needs to form a new trust to deliver the stadium, as without some input from those in charge of the club, how could the stadium ever be delivered to meet any of the clubs needs.
