But for this kind of event it needs to be Neil....and maybe captain at the time. Old and New.
I would go along with a parade of ex players though on the last game.'"
I bet he would have been a great coach too if he hadn't been mucked around

A very very good point.... easily forgotten as no glamour star but what more can you ask of a man for his commitment to the club? And he took on the entire Australian squad in a little fracas one evening in 1990 ish as I recall!!! Best biff I ever saw!!

| All great names who well deserve the accolades especially Neil, but my hero is from the same team as Neil and the player who was really responsible for us being the best team of the sixties era winning three challange cups. The hard man himself Mr Derek "ROCKY" Turner.

No chance their I'm afraid, Rocky simply won't attend anything and believe me people have tried - he's not fallen out with the club I just think he's a frail old man now and I think he doesn't want to be seen like that - vanity I suppose.
Neil Fox on the other hand is one of those men who has grown old gracefully and even now looks athletic for his age - he is always available and is a decent talker.
Also IMHO he is Mr Trinity and a hall of fame member but I get your point.

| I think we should invite Mr Offiah to bring the curtain down on BV with a ceremonial try, seeing as though he was never lucky enough to score a proper one there!!!
Got to be Neil Fox for NM, pointless even considering anyone else, no disrespect!!

For me, although he was great, Wally played 10 games for us, 4(?) at Belle Vue. There are a lot of names that have given a lot more to the club and ground itself who should be there before him.
I'd love to see him there, but not if only one or two.
I'd be interested to see who does hold the record for most games at Belle Vue. That stat probably isn't recorded but would be interested to find out.

| We should be looking at players who gave a lot to this club Fox at the top of the list.Should include some of the remaining 60s side alas some are not in the best of health and no one could argue with John Thompson. As for Wally Lewis no thanks if it had not been for the money he would not have given the club a second thought.

| Bit of a slap in the face to all the other legends that have played for Trinity over the years if Wally was considered, doubt he will be mind.

Although the money got him here, there is no doubt he gave it his all in my opinion. Kicked in the head, off to get stitched up and then back on again springs to mind.
He wasn't here long enough to be opening a stadium but I would argue with anyone qho questioned his effort while here.
