There is no evidence that we were out, in fact there are statements to the contrary. I don't want to labour the point but I was there when certain individuals, who hold positions that allow them to know, made comments regarding the strength of Wakefelds application and in the wake of Steels tirade made other comments on the Halifax application.

It is only speculation that we were in due to crusaders opting out. I would like to see both Wakefield and Halifax offer their reports to the public, as fans I think we deserve it. The RFL can't legally issue this as after all the clubs are businesses, disclosing details of financials etc is sticky ground. I do feel sorry for Halifax but even their fans must understand the cock ups of the previous board are being well and truly resolved now.

You are quite right , no evidence either way , my post was my opinion only , and that of the most of RL and probably 90 % of Wakefield fans as well , only opinion

That is the strongest evidence out there. You can't simply deny it just because it doesn't fit your seemingly entrenched position.

I do respect you Starbug but you are just been bitter here now mate... it is over and the decision is made! It is clear that the Halifax BOD now know what did happen and that would seem to validate the rumours that Halifax's bid was poor (against other bids) and was never in the running.



As for your position of maintaining that the RFL had to make a decision in a matter of hours, I think that is horse crap and I can't believe you believe that they did! The rumour is and, lets face, anyone not carrying a chip on their shoulder about it could take an educated guess at, that the KMPG report submitted a few weeks before the deadline was the catalyst for the RFL finally realising that the game could be up at Crusaders. The RFL again, according to rumour, held 'many' meetings with the Crusaders probably at first with a view to understanding if they could be saved but then as the announcement deadline loomed they then put their efforts into getting Crusaders to withdraw their bid. They knew several weeks out that they may have to make this decision as time went on, so this last minute rubbish is just that IMO... rubbish!

I actually admire your stance and I am certainly not a fan or defender of licencing!



My issue comes fom people who undermine themselves with one-eyedness and closed thinking. They marginalise themselves to the point that their often legitimate arguments, become seen as nothing more than the ramblings of fools.
