| Quote Steve51="Steve51"It was unfortunate as I've enjoyed some good proper battles between our sides. Dunno if you have injuries or not, but Wakey offered nothing last night - which was a shame. One good try, atry from Korki that never was a try, and a complet balls up in defence on our part for the third.
The only shining light was the guy who played 31 for you.'"
Korkis was a try, a lucky try. The pass was not meant for him, he got in the way, the ball hit him on the leg, then the padding on the post and landed over the line and he touched it down. No infringement, just very lucky.
Your'e right, we offered nothing. The guy who played 31 is a Gledhill, a young lad who has just signed full time who looks like he could be a good one.

| Quote captaincaveman="captaincaveman"would have to agree with previous posts, we were miles off the pace last night.
gleeson looks very out of form
blanch not playing half as well as morton was (poss not fit)
jd too slow for a centre and not creative enough for loose forward
sam gives his all but seemed to be trying to cover hooker as well when latu was off
tronc must be sick to death of being used as cannon fodder, trundling up the same channel where the opposition are stood waiting to hammer him!(just a random off the wall idea but why not miss him out once in a while?)
[uit could just be transitional. losing brough, jeffries, johnson and newton was always going to have some effect on the team.[/u
with the half back situation we cannot start without an interchange hooker, thought young davey has stood up well so far'"
I could not agree more, the guts of the teams injured or gone and we can't expect miracles for the time being from the players left untill we get BJ back and Cooke fits in.
I don't understand what some people expect at times.

If we are mentioning tries,Warrington scored one in the first half when the Wakefield side stopped, following a Warrington kick-through when the kicker ran into a Wakefield player and then fell to the ground( This was after an earlier dubious decision by Bentham). In the second half, the try in the corner came about when Bentham positioned himself to obstruct the Wakefield defender.
Warrington were the better side and deserved the victory and as Smith is quoted as saying 'Still early doors and we're still learning'. It certainly applies to Wakefield.
Wakefield will be offering far more in future contests.

| I didn't get there so I can't say but I know what people mean when they go on about Gleeson. So something needs to be done about that wing. It could take Obst/Jefferies (when back) and Cooke a while to sort things out. Add to that we have Tevita Leo-Latuo who is not the most organised hooker and James Davey getting up to speed. Therefore I am of the opinion that some things can be fixed reasonably quickly and others might take a game or three to sort themselves out.

was gonna keep out of this al as i did not go but to say im slightly disappointed with some comments on here is the biggest understatement off the year so far , what hurts more is the fact that i thought it would be the usualls but no its posters who normally have a little more dignity in defeat.
we a injury list that is growing even if sky just concentrate on those whinoes injuries , we have had to move players around and have lost to a very good wire side , andy kelly on radio paid tribute to the defence to keep them out .
once cooke settles and bj returns i think we can adapt a different game .
in kear we trust.....or rather i do.
at times i really struggle to get to grips with some comments on this board

| I'm just going to say that I thought Warrington were superb last night and would have beaten most teams. Well done to the Wire, and if we win on Friday, this won't matter. In fact, the score ended up as one that you could have reasonably predicted before the game.
We've had a good first third of the season, except that the bad moments have been really bad. Now we just need a solid middle third, with a 50-50 win ratio to be there or thereabouts for the final third run-in.
It's not all doom and gloom. We were just beaten well by a very good side.

Sorry Mutts - you weren't there and, as someone who who tries to 'big up' most things Wildcats, I can only say that the performance last night was garbage - from start to finish, almost to a man and was as dull as dishwater. If somehow that makes me disloyal for having a downer after working my nuts off all week, spending £35 on tickets, rushing home and having 10 minutes to get changed and get back on the road - then I'll take it.
IMO that performance ranks alongside the Huddersfield debacle - only difference being that Hudds were more clinical in finishing us off and with their goal-line defence.
Really, really fed up after that!

At last some sense, I expect the usual suspects to come on with OTT stuff like SHOCKING but some posters on here surprise me.
Even at the start of the season we were IMO a possible 8,7 or at best 6 finisher. Having now lost Brough, Newton and for now BJ the brains of the outfit people still seem to expect fecking miracles.
Just stop and think people. Warrington, at home, on form with team that cost millions and they beat us comfortably WOW I'd have never seen that coming.
Fans often attack players for believing the hype, well in this case it's the fans. No way is losing to Warrington by that margin either shocking or a shock.
Even without the loss of those mentioned it still wouldn't have been a shock. We built our teams with mainly scrap (appropriate considering our sponsor). The latest most ludicrous most bound to end in tears one is the expectation being laid at Gledhills door. He's a kid with promise, he will go down before he goes up and he won't turn us into a top 4 side, not this year anyway. Look at the team, really look at it, they are doing OK but all things are relative.
Let's get real before some on here have their bubbles well and truly burst.
Finally someone posted that Cas will blow us away, WHY? At what point did Cas become as good as Warrington. For heavens sake why the OTT defeatist stuff. We may have our weaknesses but it also takes a good team to spot and exploit them so I say again at what point did Cas become Hudds?
Why do Trinity fans throw the baby out with the bath water. Why when we win do we reckon we are gods gift and the following week when we lose we are utter crap. Why not show a little decorum and take defeat on the chin and move on - well done Warrington by the way for your OMO expected win.

Vasty - it's not the result, or the margin, that was upsetting - rather the complete lack of any semblance of organised rugby - defence or offence.
Cas are not as strong as us, but they are very good movers of the ball and will have a field day out wide with that defence - it was awful.
We have problems - some of our making and some not - but the fomula doesn't look right at this time.
