To be fair i agree. I havent seen anything from him to tell me Bibb has potential. You would have thought he would want to stamp some authority even this early in the year.

yes and a decent game to start rehabilitation , some people expect mountains to be moved

Bibb seemed to have a clear opportunity to score early on but wanted to bull doze the full back over, baffled us all he will have to find some killer instinct or he will end up slipping down the ranks

Hard to be optimistic about Bibb imo. I had hoped he would be chomping at the bit to prove a point.

How many times do we hear the terrace experts shout "give the youngsters a go". Usually every time we lose.



Well yesterday was why we don't. There were a lot of good young players in that squad, in fact they have champions medals to prove it. Yet against a workmanlike Hunslet team they were destroyed. It was men v boys. I accept that many Hunslet players will be little older. However in the physical world of RL there is a huge difference between a 19 year old and a 21 year old, certainly in physicality. The March twins had a field day.



Sure the senior players didn't show up but then they rarely do in these games, added to that none of the senior players included were playmakers.



This left a beaten pack which in turn left a inexperienced H/B partnership with no options.



JD was awful and he knew it but that has no baring on how his season will go and the poster who suggested this is being daft. Ditto King and Johnson. Bibb on the other hand had a point to prove and didn't which was slightly disappointing.



Expected more from Southernwood but I suspect he picked up an injury early doors. Other than that Trout and Davey look prospects.



If I have one complaint it's this. No matter what the level of the game or the opposition you cannot play IMO without a recognised playmaker. Yesterdays game became a totally pointless exercise because once we went behind by two score there was no one we could bring on to control the game. Surely either Obst, Brough, Newton, Latu or BJ could have been played on the bench and could have been used for a short spell to steady the ship and give some direction.



I know the risk injury but yesterday became an utterly fruitless exercise which IMO is even worse.

Some of those kids will look very different playing with a team full of professionals rather than all kids together.

Its a friendly - and a low key one at that - experienced first teamers use these games as a an excercise for fitness and sharpness and if you have a bad game it tells you what to focus on in training - as such the result is fairly Irrelevant...



JD, King and Johnson will be judged on Superleague performances and in JD i have no doubt he will be up to scratch...



Funny though when he showed his commitment and loyalty by playing on pain killers last season that some supporters think we should get rid if he has a bad friendly....loyalty's clearly not a two way thing with some!

Dissapointing performance to say the least! Think it showed that whilst our young lads have pottential, they are still a long way off SL standard. Agree with vasty (for once

) Trout and Davey only one's that showed up for me, Bibb was poor and again not impressed with King, thought Johnson did ok for first run out and JD was poor by his standards but that doesn't worry me, it was just a run out for him.
