| So far I have no problems with any of the signings, they are all signed with position and budget requirements in mind . We do though need some quality and strike to worry opponents which so far we lack, but hey it's not even November yet, still along way to go before February and it all starts again.

| Cheap squad player hopefully providing centre/winger cover during the season.
Looking forward to hearing that Pomeroy has signed a 2 year deal as think he'd be an improvement if he sorts his discipline out playing ironically alongside Ashley Gibson.

| Your ok with me worksop, your views seem more in line with what most people feel on here than lamp boys regarding arundle 2 yr contract, if us on here were getting 2 yr contracts we would be ripping trees up or expecting criticism, don't know what wakefield are paying arundle but heard he was on 40k at Hull might be a bargain at 4 grand but I think he'll be on a lot more than that don't you :

| Quote Tricky2309="Tricky2309"One that can create opportunities for his winger. No point having Johnstone with his pace on the wing if he never gets any ball. End of last season was about being solid but tupou and Arundel created zero for the wingers. If we want to progress we need our backs to score more and I don't see Arundel creating or scoring many'"
Agree about topou . He is a winger for me... I think if brian smith gets a close season to work with arundel we might get some more from him .he is not a world beater but we haven't hadthe time to pick the centre we would of liked . Most will of been signed up..

Reading the Brian Smith quote it seems to suggest they are intending 'Big Joe' Arundel (at 6 ft 2 and 94kg)does a fair bit of gym work over the next few months which they feel may improve his game don't recall him breaking many tackles or offloads to his winger.
BS' We are keen to see how the physical development of a big off season working on skills and his time in the gym pays off for big Joe.”

| Okay then so why not give him a 1 year deal? Prove to us he can do it and see if he does work hard in the off season. 2 years is a huge gamble and its a stupid one. This is as bad as giving Owen the 3 year contract. Be average show nothing and get 2-4 years at Wakefield. Its CRAZY! I did not see him beat a man or make a good pass in 6 month. Things were looking quite rosey but this is stupidity. We may aswell of gave Ali 2 years that would be less stupid than this at least Ali can still pass im sure hes probably faster than Arundel at 56.

| Why can't we leave everything football up to the people in the know. It's totally amazing how the everyday fan at Wake knows the ins and outs of every contract regarding clauses, and am mounts. It total crap what some say they know . Financial advise can always be found and Mr Carter must have learned a great deal from the great detail provided by some.
Then the guy who knows everything about everything and loves to share all in knowledge with the rest of us. His expertise even extends to diet and training methods.
Do they ever read the ramblings they write , it's bloody laughable. Do they really have an opinion on everything. What they don't know they make up.
Then the poster who will post total fabrication or bile and sit back and wait for a response.
Opinions are the basis for all forums and it's a nutters paradise. BUT LIGHTEN UP FFS

I think we have every right to question after last years garbage we served up. Brian Smith does not walk on GOLD every decision he does should not be a given its correct. The fans have every right to question this bit of business. Whats next Reece Lynn on a 5year deal?

Because if he delivers what they think he can then he would be off after a year to a bigger club but with a 2 year deal he's ours unless someone wants to stump up the cash. If he doesnt deliver then thats the gamble.
I'm not too inspired by the signing given his previous performances but would love to be proven wrong

| Didn't seem like he could be d for the majority of the season, seemed to improve under Smith but still didn't really do anything spectacular. Hopefully he'll repay us by finding some the form of his earlier years.

| Don't think he'll be on megabucks but he's ok. Solid enough. Obviously if we are wanting to progress then we are gonna need better but as a squadman, not bad.
