| Quote altofts wildcat="altofts wildcat"People who are calling for Agar to go after 8 games are stupid IMO.
Yes it was a bad performance all round yesterday but for me that is the only game this season where we haven't shown up this season and I am sure Agar and the players will be well aware of this and will want to put it right for Friday.'"
That's what is driving us idiots mad, we will undoubtedly hammer Cas Friday then follow it up with a mighty anti-climax against Wigan and that's why the experienced impatient fans are getting premature on Agar. When the players are targeting which games to go all out for we are in trouble especially at an early stage in the coaches tenure.
I hope Agar proves me wrong though! I'll run a franchise on him.

| Quote King Street Cat="King Street Cat"Have to agree with this. Southern looks nowhere near full fitness. It's no good having an experienced captain who is only on the field for half of the game. At the start of the season I thought we'd got a great signing and captain in Southern but over these last few weeks I've been highly disappointed with him and am questioning whether the captaincy should be handed to someone else, ideally someone who is on the field the full 80.'"
I have yet to see anything from this man that a decent NL1 player could not provide for us and for a lot less money.

Of all the new signings this season Southern was the one I was most please with.
I thought he be of a similar ilk to Dallas Johnson at NQC’s however, he looks to me like he’s here on an extended holiday.
I’d give the captaincy to someone who looks like they give a damn.

Sorry for expressing an opinion on a fans discussion forum. I was with a large number of other season ticket holders who were more outspoken in their views than my earlier post.
Its the worst performance of the season by far and frustrated fans discussing why it was so poor could not be described as idiotic.
It is appreciated that some patience is needed by fans but I felt sorry for those that had paid their hard earned money to go all the way down to London for that sorry display. They deserved a full refund, you might aswell burn your money. R.A. needs to utilise his full coaching abilities to turn this around before Friday.

| Quote asmadasa="asmadasa"I agree. I was at a wedding and watched the match on SKY. a few observations from a concerned supporter.
1. Southern seems to have what resembles a beer belly which in the 1970s & 1980s was acceptable for a second row or prop but for a 2012 Super League full time professional it is not. He is not on the pitch enough and although can tackle seems to do little else. Bad choice for captain. When you're team is playing crap like they did last night then its the captain and other experienced players that should come to the fore but Southern wasn't even on the pitch if he was then he hid.
2. Aiton does not run from dummy half anywhere near enough and thats how London got a roll on sometimes from dummy half. We're also not turning players onto their back enough to slow the play the ball down.
3. As for defending kicks Fox was isolated under the high ball and appeared to be weak in that area with a standing jump. There should be the centres/second row blocking runners and giving the wingers protection. Cockayne dropped a high ball for a try aswell.
4. We also seemed to play with absolutely no structure/composure and played worse in the second half than the first. Going sideways and then throwing the ball into touch or an aimless kick with no runners.
This is very concerning, what did R.A. say at half time? And if they didn't listen to the game plan then he should have used his remaining interchanges just to make a point to those key pivots calling the shots for WTW and taken them off.
5. If there is little or no improvement against Cas then there must be some changes around the ruck area and subject to injuries this must include consideration of Andy Ellis at hooker with Aiton to loose forward, give Trout, Walshaw and James a run and Washbrook on the bench.
Long term if the inconsistency continues there is a very good coach at Featherstone!'"
Obviously because of his KR history, I'm no great fan of Cockaines but if all of your players put as much effort into their performance as he does I think you would be a much better outfit. Good luck for the rest of the season.

Its all well and good putting the effort in, but Cocakyne's leaked as many points this year as hes scored if not more, The same with Foxy. All because we cant deal with the high ball.

Southern looks to have been bulked up. Maybe with the thought of him playing prop??
With regards to Aiton, it is far easier to go from dummy half when you forwards are on top and get a bit of a roll on. Ours werent at any point.
I have watched Fox and he is not great under the high ball when they are warming up never mind in a match situation. Having said that, if the kick is good the attacking winger should always be favourite.

| On paper, we have a better squad than London, Salford, Widnes, Castleford and Bradford. Yet I doubt that we will finish above all of these. Glover has spent a lot of money on players, whereas Cas haven't in fairness. We need to start performing, because the squad does have glimpses of quality, or else Agar could be on his way out at the end of the season.

| how do you know how much each club has actually spent on players? Just an assumption i presume.
Cas probably haven't recruited as heavily as it has probably cost them a bit to keep the current man of steel
