ive been a saints speccy for a good number of years now...and i really feel sorry for all you wakey fans..ive been at belle vue watching sides which contained wally lewis..(the late) david topliss..etc..and always had a great deal of friendly banter at knowsley road and langtree park with you lot!..it saddnes me to see the state your club is in at this present time..promise of a new ground seems to be falling through ..how unfair is that then?..you lot deserve more and with not having as much revenue as some other clubs.(which includes my club saints)..you just cant get the players that the richer clubs get..it seems your bad luck as come all at once..and i hope you get through the next stage of the challenge cup..heres hoping things get better for you this season and next!

Absolutely correct. I started going aged 8 in 1971. There was a level of expectancy that stayed with the club for maybe 10 years but a series of administrations that were completely incompetent and showed no foresight has destroyed us. Only David Garthwaite had any vision when he wanted to move us out of Belle Vue to a new stadium around 1980. As I recall, it was the fans who rejected that. If only we had listened. From sacking Ray Batten's assistant Alan Hardisty when we had nearly won the championship, to consistently overspending on many a player not worth it and many other dreadful decisions, w have limped along till we have gone off the radar of many people. I would say that if we had a decent ground and team and with the away support that often seems to come to a game with a competitive Trinity, we could expect gates on which we could compete, but it's not gonna happen with this rubbish being churned out. It is very sad. The name Wakefield Trinity is synonymous with the game and to see it on it's knees makes my heart heavy

Absolutely. WMDC have been about as passive as they could get away with and we all know Box's allegiances. It has been glaringly obvious to me that there is no political will for Trinity to have a new ground but you can bet your last quid that Castleford will be well backed by the same authority

Worst thing that ever happened to the CITY of Wakefield was being amalgamated with surrounding districts and then being swamped by them.

And yes , Charlie63 we all know the real reason for the reluctance of our abhorrent council to get behind a team the CITY was once proud of!
