Perhaps by knowing that people in the Wakefield District will never change their voting habits? About time this district and council needed a large kick up the backside.

Such a shame if this is not approved pre-match. Often the biggest home gate of the season and a big loss of potential revenue. We want to get out of the financial doldrums and losing this opportunity is not a great help.



I appreciate safety is paramount.



Some very dedicated individuals have put a lot of hard voluntary effort into making this happen. It is also a city/district wide event when these 2 clubs meet.



Okay I don't know the ins and the outs of things, I accept that. It is just a great shame if the approval does not come in time.

I understand that the capacity remains at 5400 until the new barriers are tested. The testing is not done by the LA its done by whichever contractor failed them in the first place, the club have to initiate this. Once tested and hopefully passed a certificate is issued and presented to the LA who will then allow an increase in the numbers. The fans that are doing this work need to be congratulated by us all, they are giving up their time at no cost to anyone. I do hope that the Club will have the barriers tested as soon as possible so we can get more fans into the ground.

, i agree 100% with all of this especially the bit about the fans giving up their time. I am getting a bit nervous now though as i have a long drive back from holiday and won't make it to the ground until about 14-30. Which are the best turnstiles to head for to save time?

Wakefield is a Conservative/Liberal/Labour mix, it's Cas/Pont etc that return all the Labour Councillors. As for a Conservative Council, with all respect they couldn't be much worse than Box and his cronies.

Ukip/ independent or pretty much anyone other than labour/conservative for me

they are booked in, but its not that easy to get them its not like ordering a taxi they aren't available straight away.



just to make sure that all was done for the game I took 3 days holiday to try and get it done but was just 3 barriers shy, it was completed by the weekend but the council was adamant that testing had to be done (thanks to the previous regimes)

I would like to say more but I wouldn't want get the club into trouble



please take note at how tidier the place is, its not been all about barriers
