Think we should be sending younger players who are on the brink of the first team such as J.Briscoe, Green, Cunningham, Kent etc no point sending first teamers cos they will probably get injured.

Yep they realised it was a nonsense to allow the nines to count and rightly so IMO.

They would have allowed it but because Wigan, Huddersfield and Hull all have players out, and they are all in crucial positions in the table, so they decided to not allow players to do so this season.

I can see Burnett, J.Briscoe, Hall, Lyne all going again. Maybe Tuffour, Nicklas, Williams, Liam Kent and Washy joining them? Not sure how else.
