What a player and captain hes been, could have gone anywhere when he signed for us, top man and glad we still got him next year even if its not on the field, Thank you Gaz

The best word I can use to describe him and his influence on Hull FC is 'catalyst'. The transformation we've undergone in recent years can largely be contributed to his leadership, motivation, dedication and him leading by example every single game.

The most valuable and important FC player in a generation. Words can't do him justice.

Minichello has being better, Sneyd has being more influential, Ellis is still a great player however and a great captain as well as being a great role model.

Our best signing since Steve Norton, it's been a real pleasure seeing him play for Hull FC. We'll miss him on the pitch massively.

Even as a Minichiello cheerleader I don't think he has been a better player for Hull than Gareth Ellis.

He's been immense for us.

Will our upward trajectory wane with his playing departure?

Champion player and champion person. He'll go down in history as one of our greats.
