| Lets have a heated debate
Connor's best position is fb according to Hodgson. He utilises the time and space to create moments of brilliance however his lack of pace leaves him exposed in defence from time to time.
At stand off has he ever been as effective as he has been at fb?
Connor can play centre but will this restrict his creativity even if he has this so called roaming role?
Hoy's favoured position is fb but can play stand off.
There's also the possibility that Walker may be retained.
It's a conundrum.

| Given his attitude and that he still wants out, preferably a position not at this club.

Ok then. Lets start another heated debate. Who should replace him?

What is this post based on? Serious question, where has it been said he wants away. I stated recently on another thread and mooted it elsewhere, I think he’d make an excellent free roaming loose man. This would certainly accommodate the new players coming in, especially if we retain Smith.

I'd be surprised if he had more than 3 games in a row at stand off, that's where I'd play him. Think he has a better skills set than Hoy to play there and vice versa.

Seriously though I'm not sure where this attitude or want away thing has come from. Honestly I've never seen reason to question his commitment. Yes, he occasionally gets frustrated when it isn't going his way and tries to force things a but I've never seen him throw the towel in.

| Its an interesting one as all his best attacking performances have come at fullback BUT he's played a lot more games in a stretch there than halfback where he's just tended to fill in so its hard to make a decent comparison.
I think if we had someone else with decent hands who can make that link with outside backs he'd look a lot more effective at halfback.
With our current personnel I'd say fullback but next year, who knows.

| Looking at the build up of the team for next season it has to be centre but with a big piece of duct tape accross his mouth.
That said if Tuimavave is fit and we have Wynne and Mitch for the left centre position then Armavinit may have a point about using him as a 13 but with double duct tape accross his mouth

It’s based on what one of our players has been saying.
He (Connor) can’t see himself winning trophies at this club.
Think it’s quite common knowledge that he was on his way to Canberra until they pulled the plug.

Tbf he is right we are nowhere near wining trophies even with the signings we have next season. Personally centre next season but with the option of roaming when he feels the opportunity arries

The amount and type of defending he’d have to do in the middle might blunt his effectiveness with ball in hand. I’d enjoy seeing props run at him for 80 minutes.
1 or 6 are where I’d least like to see him playing against us. 6 maybe just edges it.
