In Tom`s shoes I would be off as well, as you say the whole Aussie environment can`t be bettered.
By dropping to 12 teams means realistically that London and Catalan have to go?
London cannot be sustained, surely, on their pitiful home attendances and their away following, although both kids are ok, bring nothing to other clubs.
Catalan, whilst boasting fantastic conditions both weather wise and culturaly are expensive and also bring nothing to the away games either.
The time has come to get more ruthless and make some important decisions regarding these clubs. Or are the RFL now looking even further afield at expanding our heartland game into the nether regions? |

I would. And the savings that the RFL make from not funding the Catalans away expenses will go to help the clubs that do bring more to the table.
As far as funding the London team to any extent then I have no knowledge of such but wager that they funded by the RFL. |

I think your missing my point, I'd try and keep young talented British players than sign overseas players.
If all clubs had have made the same commitment we'd still have Ashton, Tomkins, Eastmond in our game rather than some of the weak overseas players we have now. |
