Yup noticed no difference at all.

i was up and down more on friday,wasnt from adults and beer though think it was the tickets reduced for the south stand.had gangs of kids trying to get through where i was sat the full game was a bit annoying .

Flip the question around though. Generally some people like a beer at a game of rugby. If the level of service received doesn't meet the half time demand which means some people missed 10-20 mins of the game to enjoy the beer that theyve ordered why not deal with the demand by allowing people to drink in the seats. Seems a sensible solution. People shouldn't need to prioritise if they want a beer. The service offering needs to allow them to have a beer and see the rugby if thats their choice.

I've seen no difference so far tbh. I think we might see a bit more of an affect when it gets warmer.

If they served a decent pint then I'm sure bums would be up and down to get some more, but as they only sell dishwater even the alcoh's don't seem to bother with it.



I'm sure more of it would be getting drunk if what was being offered on the pitch was poor, but as we are seemingly offering class entertainment on the pitch then a drink is the last thing people would want to get off their bottoms for. In past seasons that might have been different though

It does need to in order for the SMC to generate appropriate revenue to maintain prices for all spectators for entry to the stadium as they are!

It doesn't because, as has been proved in the past (and as continues to be the case with football matches), people will buy the beer regardless of whether or not they can drink it in their seats.

But i now have 3 pints through the duration of the game instead of 1 pint. Thats extra revenue and profit isn't it?

Only issue I have is the number of people who are more "merry" than before. Especially as several of them dont seem to be able to handle it and we get spillages. Getting up and down is no more than normal really.

You voluntarily drink three pints of that crap? You must have no tastebuds!

I don't suppose there's been a substantial enough increase for it to make a difference to admission prices. Most will drink what they drink regardless, though, as has been pointed out, they will drink it in their seats instead of missing parts of the match.
