We have generally been good starters - we've won eight round one fixtures in the last nine seasons which clearly suggests that the result of the first game isn't the be all and end all.

Yes a big win at Cas which we followed up the following week with another comfortable win at home to Wakey.



Wheels came off then and a poor run including a home defeat in the snow to Harlequins and a 0-46 hammering by Saints at the KC saw John Kear getting the sack.

Did anyone get the survey for match days?



Or was it one of these where only a special few were chosen?

No point in doing a survey as opinion is split. The club will never please everyone (or even a largish majority) with the days they choose to play home games.

They want a Hull fair night atmosphere in that naff food area so they can sell more food and burgers to the East hull fats

Rumour is a ferris wheel was going up there but they couldnt find seats big enough for the generous sized HKR fan and another proposal that it could be used by Hudge and his investors to keep a birds eye view on all his development land around the ground was also shelved.

A more modest ghost train will now be proposed

I've no problem with the club changing to weekends, not ideal for me, but Id rather them just come out and say they are moving to Saturday and Sundays instead of passing off a survey most fans knew nothing of!

Great news for me wife works Sunday's and my boy prefers Sundays and all the fairs and other family days. Castleford first game chance for a big crowd, hopefully Castleford bring 2k would be nice.

Think Friday is better purely because it gets rid of us having shorter turnarounds than most teams.

Catalan away on 3rd march, not ideal, but I suppose we've had a good run of away trips to the south of France in the height of summer recently...can make up for the lack of a Toulouse trip with a weekend in Leigh in June at least...
