Hame has definitely improved of late but someone who only plays 20-25 minutes out of 80 is a waste of a quota space IMO.

So even without any injuries to the most physical part of our squad, we have Dowes, Radford and some young kid to scare/smash the opposition?

If Agar is letting two quota forwards go and replacing them with a FB and a hooker, he is robbing Peter to pay Paul and our pack for 2012 will not be anywhere near strong enough.



We only have two decent props this season. If Fitz and Lauaki leave, we need two quality forwards and they'll probably have to be cheap and British!

Agar has replaced a fullback with a fullback, and brought in a top class hooker.



That still leaves us with an overseas place as it stands. That could be the resigning or Lauaki, the resigning of Fitz or a new player - we dont know yet.



Two decent props this season? I take it you've not seen Dowes this season, he's upped his game massively (and he needed to).

I imagine you're abit like the guy who sits behind me at the KC - no knowledge of the game, tourette sytle outbursts of critisism aimed at our own players, completely unable to see the bigger picture and a completely unrealistic outlook on things Hull FC.



The fact you thought McKinnon is a direct replacement for Fitz/Lauaki speaks volumes.

I'm assuming that was little tongue in cheek but Dowes would flatten 99% of people who dont play rugby without breaking a sweat.



Besides all props dont have to be huge tackle busting machines. I am happy with his Dowes is playing and would be pleased for him to get a new deal.



I'd think about moving Tickle to the front row and possibly using Yeaman in the second row a bit more often. Personally I think we are putting together a very useful squad with plenty of options.

I stood next to David Tangata-Toa once. I reckon if he'd squeezed me in the middle, my head and feet would have burst.



Ewan Dowes would send almost any of us skittling.
