The brutal truth is that in 2015 both Hull clubs reside in that 7th-10th group. Realistically most of us had both clubs in that group before the season started, the dividing line between the two sets of eight. It now would appear that we are to finish in the upper spots of our little group with you finishing in one of the lower spots. It could easily have been the other way around given a couple of different results through the year but it hasn't panned out that way.



Most Fc fans are under no illusions about our many shortcomings, but as I've said on another thread we now effectively have a free hit in the remaining games.

22 points from 22 games is by definition average but it's six points more than this stage last season and two points more than under Peter Gentle in 2013. Should we beat Wigan 24pts from 23 would be our third best return after that number of games since 2007, just two points fewer than 2012.

Yes, we only won by 10, but Sneyd and Abdulls game management (and Danny H) in the second half ensured we attacked more than defended and just consolidated the lead.

As for worrying about whether what we delivered last night would be good enough to beat better opposition - simple answer no.
