You think Warrington performed as badly as Hull did yesterday ?
Either learn the game or improve your trolling standard.

| Quote Rock God X="Rock God X"Think too much is being made of our run to the final. Beating Wakefield isn't a huge achievement and ought be expected for a club with play off ambitions. Against Catalans we were the better of two very poor sides, leaving only the semi final that was a truly outstanding performance. The less said about yesterday, the better.
It's an achievement to contest a major final, but I don't think our route there was as difficult as some are making out.'"
it wasn`t as easy as wigans.

I'd agree with that. Wonder how many Wire fans now think the cup would have been theirs for the taking, if only.....................

| If somebody would have said to me at the beginning of this year we would be in with a shot of 5th place, playoffs and a challenge cup final I wouldn't have been too devastated!
Yes, it hurts to lose a final, having watched it back (god knows why) defensively we were sound! Wigan are a remarkably well drilled outfit, their attacking play is relentless but sometimes wonderful to watch! Which got me thinking, what's different? How many coaches do they have, Deacon, Harris, more? Could we not benefit by taking their example? Employing talented ex-players who have a wealth of experience and knowledge to pass on to our youth system? Proven winners in big game situations! You look at football clubs they have Managers, Assistants, Coaches throughout their whole set up! I honestly think this would be a much more productive approach than the usual knee jerk reaction of sacking the coach and bringing in another under the same set up! I think a new approach from Youth to First Team coaching is needed!
Thoughts?

Those stats sum it up for me. Going into the final your form was far better than ours. Two things gave me what little confidence I had of a win. One, we had more players used to the big occasion. Two, your inability to post a Wembley win is a monkey on your back which was bound to put pressure on the players.
Before the game, I was chatting with some of your fans. They insisted that we had won enough times and it was now their turn. I certainly wasn't confident by any means and told them as much. I pointed out that if we were to lose, Hull would be one of 2 teams I would choose for that very reason. The other being Oldham who have never even been to Wembley.

If by Rovers you mean Hull Kingston Rovers you need to check your records. You have been to Wembley 4 times and won once, in 1980.

| FC-Jay, both Hull clubs are happy to pay over the odds for old aussies / english players than put in place a system you speak of. I think Pearson knows this and is trying to buck the trend by improving your facilities but he is fighting against coaches who are only interested in the result this week as they know their jobs are on the line.
As a Rovers fan, yes its good that we can still sing "that song" but as a Hull lad I was upset that those lancashire gits won again. In that type of weather you have just got to keep the scoreboard ticking over and that is where FC went wrong. At one point the score could have been 8-6 to Wigan with plenty of time left and you never know what the pressure would have done to them.
I hope you do get to see your team win at Wembley (not against us mind) for all the grandads and dads who take their lads year after year, as fans you deserve to see it. It is a great achievement to reach Wembley but as many have said it's no place for losers.
Keep the faith.

Wise words about our performance. However, I hope you realise that by wishing us well you will now become a pariah in East Hull and will probably be banned from Craven Park.

They include that Plate thingy that was played for by clubs that couldn't get past a 1/4 final stage or summat. It was only contested for a couple of years before the RFL accepted what everyone else knew, it was a fooking mickey mouse competition
