What a silly argument. If Sky put up your subscription because they'd "invested in their business" would you be a "whining w*nker" unless you quietly accepted that increase? If your gym bought a new piece of gear and decided to charge you an extra fiver to use it, are you a "whining w*nker" if you object to that? Is the only way you're allowed an opinion on the value for money a business offers if you're willing to provide the same service for free? Silly.

I believe you wasted your time, because you wanted to disrupt what had been prior to your intevention a fairly civilised discussion. As it happens after coming out with childish comments and a completely irrevelant counter argument, you have in fact made yourself look a little uneducated. HTH.

Let's be clear here: I (very cordially) expressed an opinion on the rights and wrongs of paying £5 to get into a pub to watch a game. You waded in and said I should "shut the feck up". Only then did I call you a halfwit - I felt that your response to my comments had betrayed you as such. If you can't join in a discussion without your first response to someone being "shut the feck up", there's little cause for surprise when that person labels you a halfwit, IMO.

Ok...shut the hell up then and,i then,responded with a reasoned debate about the said £5 charge and seem to have read a few discussions on here where you have waded in so maybe halfwit works both ways.

The problem I think you'll find is that some board users come on hear to express their views, in a sensible and civilised manner, the thread then gets hi jacked by people who seem to think they have the right to try to belittle people or indeed maybe bully to a certain extent. Usually the same people.

I think you're a halfwit because your very first response to a poster who hadn't even addressed you directly was "shut the feck up".
