cant wait for it to kickoff people talking about Crookes i see your points but maybe gentle is giving him a chance to show what hes made of if he slips up then Lineham will be in no doubt. tickle is a big miss for me makes us much stronger in the middle Galea wont be in the 13 at all once he is back and as for westy i do like to see him out wide but who would we play in in loose? id put tickle there westy and ellis in second row

To cover most the points...
I would start Whiting ahead of anyone is the back row barring Ellis. Don't think Westerman is lazy, but he has an awful defensive technique. He always makes good impact, but the attacker always bumps him off and carries on. I think it's nothing less than criminal that Crookes is starting in front of Lineham. We have to at least try Seymour and Holdsworth together for a few games. Speaking to many Cas fans, and watching him myself on many occasions - Arundle isn't awful, but isn't known to be a great defensive centre.
For me our pack and halfbacks are equal, but Leeds' threequarters are light years ahead of us in class. Our back three are incredibly vulnerable, and I expect most of our conceded points to be scored because of this.

Most wingers in the world struggle defensively with the high ball, they're never going to out-jump somebody running forwards with momentum from a standing start. The key is closing down the kicker, if we allow Sinfield time and space to put it on a sixpence then he will! |

He's played 1n a half games after a yr out nearly and shoulder surgery. 1it takes a few games to get confidence back into broken body parts and 2 will have been a little rusty to say the least.
I've probably seen 70% of all the games lineham has played in hull colours. He's raw and can get caught out defensively, and has fairly regular at 20s level. He's no doubt improving and last yrs 1st team run will have helped, but remember we were playing decent as a team so he got a fairly easy ride against mostly lower end opposition.
Don't get me wrong he's gonna be a superstar I think, physically most gifted winger in the league probably but no need to rush. Peter Gentle obviously sees it the same and has near enough said so on a few occasions.
Crookes will no doubt get destroyed in a blacklock hall n sharp kinda way though because it's not people's preference, and if he has 1 bad game the moron element of our fan base will try destroying n undermining him!
