His reply 'Have you ever been to Bradford' Open your eyes folks Hull and East Riding is as good and bad as any other place in the World. tbf the Liverpool Echo does normally give any big news/signings a mention. But it's never going to be headline news is it.

Think the only people who might turn down Hull as a place are players from west of the Pennines, and even then it's more the (to them) far, remote location.



Aussies will look for the best contract offer, and if they want any confirmation about the place, they are more likely to consult other Aussies who've played there than some naff survey in the Sun. And they usually get good reports as most Aussies are very happy in the Hull area.



As for Bradford, it is a truely awful place, the city centre is literally a huge crater, while travelling there from various directions would make you think there was some kind of apartheid operating in this drab miserable place.



Anyone with a reasonable salary and half a brain would live in the nice northern suburbs of Leeds and commute to Bradford in less than half an hour!

Stats would show that Wigan isn't a great place with Barrett, Smith and now Riddell getting homesick and not staying the lenghth of their contracts.



My girlfriend used to live there, not a great place but didn't seem bad, though every pub and club are all down the same 100m street. It's like a poor man's Mardi Gras every Saturday night! Fun though!

We have friends in Bradford Known them from our Berlin days 1963/65 we go on a regular basic They live in Idle There have moved 4 times for reason left out of it

They always till me if we are involved in an accident or incident get the police( On the way home) ..They words are we don't know how lucky we are to live in Hull.. If my mate had been in better health they would have moved to Cyprus

I'd say trophy potential was at least number 2 TBH.
