| I think that berro will stay but just for the 3 years, I base this on my opinion that I don't think an nrl club would have him and no other team in sl would take up his wages. I also think he isnt as good as swain was but swain had a completely different team around him.

| Quote me 'n' our kid="me 'n' our kid"Dont't you think that with all his experience skill and knowledge of the game that he came over full of expectation and promise not only to FC but for himself also?
And do you think that despite his injuries and playing out of position for the good of the team most of last season (player of the year also), was done just to take the easy option/buck.
Have you considered that his thought process is probably too quick for those around him, and that he is in 'tempo' now with our game, because last season he was wayyyyyyyy ahead of anybody we had .
Do you also not think that his fitness skill and speed he had in Aus that gained International and SOO honours would hold him in good stead for SL and that he was more than willing and able to bring with him, to give something to our great club.
I believe he is far too good and is of a higher standard to those around him, I also believe that he has tried to lead by example, but again those around him let him down.
As said by someone else, Steven Gerraed would look sheite at Hull City.
And if Berrigan is on the pi$$ I for one wouldn't blame him because this amount of disillusionment is enough to drive any man to drink.'"

| Lets be honest - the guy is class. But how disheartening can it be from coming from world class teams to this rubbish. He also has to put up with Agar playing the likes of Tommy Lee in front of him because 'saints and leeds use 2 hookers'. I think he'll go at the end of this season. his heart isn't with the club. He's come to win things - not be part of a disfunctional team.

| Quote Big Dave T="Big Dave T"Im waiting to be shot at like i am whenever i mention that Richard Horne has been as bad as Thorman but what can i say, he doesnt offer us anywhere near what the likes of Swain did. Swain was consistently great, Berro is very hit and miss and shouldnt be.'"
TBH, I think a lot of that's down to the differences in their games, and the fact that Swain mainly played behind a dominant (or at least equal) pack. Swain was largely about work rate, outstanding defence and distribution from dummy half. Those are all evident even when a pack is struggling, so he could still shine. On the other hand, one of the biggest parts of Berrigan' s game is his running from dummy half, which is pretty damn hard with the current speed of our PTB (just look at how Houghton has looked less impressive this year). FWIW I think Berrigan's defence has been fairly consistent, he's just not being allowed to shine regularly in attack because we aren't getting on top in the forwards enough.

I largely agree, i also think a player like Berrigan should be showing more of his skills off irrelevant of whether the pack is winning the wrestle etc. He scored a good try v Rovers and put a good 40/20 in. We need to see more glimpses of his genius than we are imo.

I'd go along with that, yes he is playing behind a beaten pack but for me I expect that little bit more from Berro. More touches of brilliance from him at times during the game could well help us to win games.

And thats exactly my point from a previous page where i think he only shows up for 10 mins a game and then goes missing for 70 mins. We need to see far more from our big money import imo.

Wouln't disagree with that he needs to be in the game more despite the mediocrity surrounding him.
