Both Briscoe and Flynn played well for Town today. Briscoe scored his try from the new "free play" rule which is the first I have heard of under this rule. Leigh knocked on about 15 yards out from Town's line and Briscoe kicked it forward and gave chase. The ball was kicked by the Leigh fullback as he tried to put it dead but it came off the side of his foot and Briscoe won the race to touch down. He also looked to be organising Town from behind which was quite noticeable. Flynn's try was reward for some good work bringing the ball out from kicks and it was laid on a plate for him by the up and coming Callum Phillips with a beautiful little kick to the corner that Flynn took on the run to score.
