I haven't a clue what this club Widnes will bring to Super League,except boost the points difference of every other team in the competition.
Widnes are complete and total nobodys,not only in the grand scale of things but in every scale of things.
Your success of the late 80s-early 90s was only down to signing players you couldn't afford and when you had to offload them your club sunk without trace.

I remember sometime in 2001/2002 when the Halifax v Warrington game being shown on Sky was a battle between two of the strugglers of Super League.
Ignore the odd knob end from Warrington. There are too many Johnny come lately Super Duper League fans who think the game only started 2 years ago.
Whilst I don't agree with licencing in the slightest I hope what Widnes will bring (more than anything) is a right good hiding to a few of these 'holyier than thou' SL clubs who forget that not so long ago - they were !!
