He was not that bad and be a decent player for Widnes, as we are not expecting to be a top 6 side.Still young and I thought Meli was poor or worse than Moore.

Didn't we sign another second rower from Crusaders? Winterstein,never seen him play but SL experience with his former club?

Ability wise I think winterstein and Kavanagh could play secondrow ahead of Haggerty.Maybe we can find a goalkicking centre from oz or wherever.If Ah Van is injured I think Haggerty can kick.Craven,Gilmore, and Owens can kick goals, but I doubt they be starters.But I do rate all of them youngsters.

I wonder if he'll be tempted to throw Hanbury in the centres? Go with White in the halves?

I like the look of that and think it will be strengthened a bit more yet. I would personally opt for Kav at 13 to see how he goes rather than Allen, but Betts obviously rates Allen.

I'd pick Kav at 13 too if we can get another prop in. But we're pretty short at the moment. Undoubtedly though for me, our best chance of success is to play big in the forwards and have that extra prop locking the scrum!

I like Kavanagh,I think he could well go on to be a really good player in SL with us,still a young man so time for him to develop.
