Apparently in the NOTW the other day it said they had 16 players on one year contracts and none of them were signed up for next season yet.



Make of that what you will but I think they could be replaced by Toulouse next time franchises roll around and hopefully we will replace one of the flagging M62 teams. That'd make sense to me.

Whatever happens,happens.I would love to see us get a place in SL next time but I won't be holding my breath.In the meantime it's nice that a few clubs and some of their condescending and patronising fans are having squeaky bottoms.

I think it would be f*****g very difficult to turn us down next time. Everyone one knows we should be in. It would certainly be very difficult to justify leaving us out, and RFL could certainly face a bit of a backlash in the media. It was bad enough last time.



Despite this, I still can't help but think they'll just bung Toulouse in - unless they drop 2 current SL clubs. I just can't see that happening.

Do you not think though Pepe that if they bring Tolouse in without them winning the NRC or appearing in a grand final, the RFL could recieve just as much backlash in the media?

They'll probably enter the Lord Derby Cup next year and walk it. That will probably be deemed as significant for them as the NRC is for the rest of us. To be fair, Toulouse at least seem a realistic prospect and I was surprised when CC got the nod before them. But they are nowhere near us yet.

True, the RFL do like moving goal posts but surely theres a limit to how many they can move?

I just cant see us getting turned away this time, last time i couldn't really but if it happened again, it would be un-describable. If it is true that one championship club will definately be in next time around, then we should just concentrate on making our bid stronger and if any other teams were to have short comings, then its just an added bonus that eases some pressure.

The VT is full of hypocritical morons starbug. There are a few clubs who are getting worried and they'll start lashing out now, not to mention their legion of apologists, right up until they're thrown out and then they'll get the same treatment as us because the RFL can do no wrong!

They'll move as many as they want, whenever they want.





Sadly I [ican[/i see them leaving us out. It all depends on the circumstances at the time of the decisions. It's just not worth worrying about it all yet. we're better off just biding our time and enjoying our sojourn in the Championship as best we can, for now.





The word you're looking for is 'shafted'. I've used it 3 times now. It's very possible that I may be using it again in 2011.





That's all we can do. Whether it will be enough to get us a licence depends on whether or not the RFL want us in. We just need to make it as difficult, and potentially embarrassing as possible, for the RFL to leave us out while retaining some of the obvious duds that still remain there. They've already made a mockery of the whole process as it is.

I would love to See Toulouse and Widnes given Licences....

I'll be watching the game V Toulouse on Saturday with Interest.

I havent seen them yet I'd be interested to see if they have decent crowds, stadium and play decent Rugby.



Catalan Dragons have been a superb addition to Superleague and on that basis alone I'd give Toulouse a shot just to give Catalan Dragons a local(ish) derby.

Salford have about as much chance of completing their stadium as i have of winning the london olympiics.
