Even now they are talking about taking out their revenge in the game up at Barrow... will they never learn!!







It's fine.. they tried to outmuscle us one too many times.. it reminds me of playing Cas in 2007.. We won the first couple but Cas soon learned what we were about as we have done with Barrow. Rooney will make a difference but they look like they are continuing to build in their forwards..

If their pack try to bully us again they'll get mashed again. We will have Grayshon back for that game, and that will counter the return of Catic, so they'll really be up against it now.



They should just concentrate on playing and laying a platform for the likes of Rooney, Finch, Cambell, Nixon and Harrison. If they do that they might just win.







But then again....

It's real double whammy that one.









Dessie: What's this Thompson lad like, Tez?



Terry O: He's an absolute belter, Des. Runs hard, works hard, runs his blood to water and makes very few mistakes. He's got a great attitude too.





Dessie: How come he can't get in to the Widnes side?



Terry O: Well you see, we thought we'd get him a bit of SL experience and polish off his skills. Since then we have gone from strength to strength and we don't want to meddle with a winning team.



Dessie: So he'll do a good job for us?



Terry O:Ooooh yes!

Terry O: No problem.

Their coach ballsed up big time.They never wanted the ball from the KO in the first half when they returned it but from the KO in the second half they suddenly wanted possesion.

Don't talk sh*t mate. Mashed ? That is what we did to you at your place. You lot couldn't even put 40 on a side that wasn't at full strength and were out on its feet. Lets wait until August when both sides are at full strength and see what happens eh ?



I will admit 1 thing though - Cullen and his staff completely out foxed our coaching team, I hope they learn from it.

I must admit to being slightly disappointed that we didn't put the game to bed much earlier than the 78th minute but Barrow were a stubborn opponent second half.

Think we have got to give Barrow some credit. They had a gameplan which has worked on previous occassions so decided to stick to it. After conceding 3 tries in the space of ten minutes lesser sides would have capitculated but they didnt.

I've just watched the incedent again for the first time since sunday - and McDermotts arm is inbetween Gannons legs, you can just see it at the corner of the screen on the replay. (It is very quick, and I only saw it cos I was specifically looking for it)



Why would his arm be there if he wasn't doing anything??

I don't see what you see ? unless your TV is bigger than mine and you can see more of the picture.



All I do notice is when Gannon is shown the Yellow card he says "But he nipped me" No mention of a nut grab !

Is it very quick.



When it goes back to the replay you can see McDermott's arm inbetween Gannon's legs. You can only see one leg untill he stands up and punches him, then you can tell his arm was there. I don't know if it was a pinch on his legs or a nut grab - but his arm was there and I don't believe it would have been if he was just setting a scrum and behaving himself.......

All this talk over a nothing event, He grabbed Gannons Plumbs and got a slap for it. If someone grabbed my nuts ( wife excluded ) i would probably give them a slap too.



It was a good hard game and the only thing wrong with Barrows tactics was that they didnt work. Its a tough game played by tough men. Hopefully we will be more of the same next time we meet, and if we have a little luck we will get the same result.

I would like to see McDermott in our pack and am sure he would love to play for a big club.Think I will drop TOC an e-mail.
